Today our Windows Live Writer Plugins project hits its first public release, codenamed Cyclone (I inspired our codenames from tornado names).
Cyclone is the first of three planned releases for this project. I planned to release two other packages in next two months to let project developers work on their plugins and add more features or bug fixes.
Cyclone has six plugins for Windows Live Writer Beta as listed here:
Four plugins are written with C# and others are written with Visual Basic.
There were four other plugins for our project. Two plugins aren't ready for current release and will be added to later collections. My Technorati Tags plugin is excluded by myself because it was just a simple sample plugin to show how to write a plugin and as there was a better plugin for this purpose in our project I ignored it. Jayson is away and couldn't check his Winamp Currently Playing source code to our project.
Thankfully our project got bigger and currently we're 18 developers involved in this project. As I was the coordinator and creator, tried to spend my time to organize things and help others. Unfortunately we had some problems with TFS for a few users who weren't familiar with it and those problems got my time.
However, we have released our first collection but are sure they're not free from bugs so please report them on our forums to let us provide better plugins in next versions.
You can download Cyclone binary or source code files from our workspace.
