Waegis Will Be Live Tomorrow

Waegis (July 8, 2008)

[Update: I was ready for the launch and have been keeping my eye on MaximumASP to set up the final piece of hardware, a hardware firewall, for my servers to hit a button and launch Waegis. But unfortunately this didn’t happen and I decided to postpone the launch to tomorrow! I hope that they set this firewall up and let Waegis to be live tomorrow (even though they may do this in the rest of day (as they had promised to do this by the end of day). But I need to sleep so let’s talk about it tomorrow! Sorry for the inconvenience but I didn’t want to have a downtime even very very short for adding the firewall to my servers network!]

In the past a few days I’ve been so busy wrestling with the latest hiccups of the Waegis! I also have been waiting for MaximumASP to set my multi-server bundle solution up to let me configure them and launch the Waegis.

Earlier today I finally could get my hands on the servers and started to configure them. Things are going very well and I can expect to launch the site and service in a public Beta stage tomorrow (Tuesday, 8th July 2008). Of course, the setup process by MaximumASP has not been finished yet but most likely it will be ready by tomorrow.

So if nothing goes wrong, you can expect Waegis to finally be live tomorrow otherwise it may be delayed for one or two days. Sleepless days and nights are coming again but there is no other choice!

Fortunately this two weeks delay in the launch date let me improve some stuff that I had proposed for post-launch stage. Of course, there will be some limitations for the public Beta in comparison with the final version and some parts will not be enabled. I’ll write more about these limitations after the launch.

Reading this post, now you would know the reasons for my recent stoppage in the regular blogging.
