Fahrenheit Marketing is a top-dog Austin Web Design firm offering a complete portfolio of online services.
After a long time of working on .NET Framework 3.0, which has basic changes from .NET 1.x and 2.0, Microsoft announced its RTM.
You can download it from this link and try SDK to get started and use following extensions to get benefits of programming for Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation in Visual Studio 2005:
Again, new things come and change our world but this time there is nothing new for me! I've almost done whatever I wanted to do with new stuff and have had a deep study on all above three technologies in the past by reading several books, articles and other resources (that's our life!). Probably you won't see the effect of .NET Framework 3.0 and its widely usage before Vista RTM but I bet you'll love it.
+ In my mind, .NET 2.0 is very old and 1.x are in museums!

I agree about the time it takes to be used by developers but disagree about the relationship between 2.0 and 3.0.
I don't know how much have you experienced with 3.0 but it has basic changes from 1.x and 2.0. I can't say it sits on 2.0 as 2.0 sits on 1.x. 3.0 has some major changes in programming model which move you from OO to SO and this is the point.
