One year is gone …
About one year ago, I started this website when I had different aims. I started with Community Server 1.1 when it had some issues for me on shared environment. My hoster and I spent much time to set this website up and finally we could do it. I started blogging with a few visitors who were probably only my friends. Day after day, I could improve this website to arrive to this point.
At first days, never I could predict this future. Before that, I had several blogs in Persian but couldn’t keep them up more than six or seven months but Nayyeri.NET was a different case. Blogging in English which isn’t my native language and having visitors from many other countries is absolutely different from what I could guess.
I could find many great friends on this virtual world who helped me to improve my website by their kindness and feedbacks. Nowadays my experiences and knowledge are different from what I had at start point. Now Nayyeri.NET is a good reference blog for .NET and Community Server users. My feedbacks and stats say this. These days, many of my old posts about .NET are getting the traffic because they are useful for developers. Stuff is different from starting days as well and this is the nature of blogs. At start point, Nayyeri.NET was only a blog and photo gallery but now it’s really a site and a community. It has blog, photo gallery, file gallery and roller.
Unfortunately I can’t provide a statistic report for my website because I missed them on server movements but I give a short overview on what I could get from Smarter Stats on [ASPnix] shared servers although the number of visitors doesn’t matter for me so much. My daily visits ratio is increasing regularly. Most of my visitors are coming for .NET and Community Server stuff. As Nayyeri.NET has been aggregated on some famous .NET and CS related communities, I can get good visitors on my posts. Another nice point for me was about my geographical visitors stats. United States, Canada and United Kingdom are my top most visitor countries and Iran is in 4th place! The difference between US at top and Canada at second place is more than what you think! The most important result of this website was (and is) the opportunity to find great friends on the web from several countries. As many other blogs, my RSS feed page is my most popular page and it gets more than 50% of daily visits. I had 306 (25.5 post per month average and ~ 5.9 post per week average) blog posts, 6 articles, 305 comments and 54 trackbacks in this year. Also Nayyeri.NET was hosted on three different servers in first year of its life. I can surely say my main content is about Software Development, .NET technology and Community Server and most of my posts are about them.
Year in review:
For the first time, I could keep my blog up for one year. New year won’t be as same as last year because my personal life will be caused by some events and probably (or surely?!) you won’t see an updated website for about two months. On the other hand, fortunately I could finish university to have more free time for this blog and some open projects so I can put better stuff here.
Alright, let’s see what will happen in next year! Thank to all regular visitors and friends for their collaboration.
