God breathing through me

Feedback on Waegis

Two weeks ago I announced Waegis as my newest public project that is an online spam filter service written entirely with .NET 3.5 and SQL Server. I also invited others to help me with Alpha 1 testing and I'm proud to say that some great guys joint me to test this version very well.

Fortunately the first version of the service worked excellent and much better than my anticipations for Alpha 1. I'm going to launch the private Alpha 2 sometime in the next week and I'll write more details about the Alpha 1 testing results then but in a nutshell I can say that the amazing results of Alpha 1 inspired me to speed up things and wrap them up for the second Alpha.

Now that I'm getting closer to Alpha 2, I want to gather some feedbacks about Waegis both from my Alpha testers and from all the community members. I sent a separate email to Alpha testers to ask about their opinions in more details but here I'm also asking from you, as end users and community members, to leave your opinions about the service.

Generally I'm looking for everything that you have in mind but especially there are some topics that are of my interest.

One of these topics is anything new that can make this service better. I tried to include some innovations in the site and service but anything interesting would be helpful as well.

The other field that I want to gather feedbacks about, is support for OpenID in the site. OpenID support is considered fundamentally as part of Waegis but I'm still not sure if I should add it or not. Do you think this is a good feature and can help to have more users? By the way, don't forget to read this post by Jeff Atwood.

For the commercial users and for the e-commerce part of the site, what would be the preferred method of payment? Most likely the best method for average monthly payments less than $100-200 is PayPal but I'd like to include 1-2 more methods. In this case, which payment methods do you prefer?

And the last thing that I want to hear your feedbacks on, is the slogan of the site and service. I'm looking for some good slogans for the site and will use them if I can find anything good. So please let me know if you have any short, meaningful and related slogan that you have to share about such an online spam filtering service.

You can leave your comments or drop me a line to start a private conversation. I'd appreciate your feedbacks.

Quite off topic here, but I figured I would mention it anyway. There is no plural or singular form of the word "feedback". It is an uncountable word. This means that 1 comment is referred to as "feedback" and 100 comments is referred to as "feedback".

These are wrong.

"I received some feedbacks."

"Please read this and give me a feedback."

These are correct.

"I received some feedback."

"Please read this and give me feedback."

Sorry I'm a bit crazy about the English language. Love your blog, but seeing "feedbacks" everywhere bugs me.

@English Speaker:

Thank you so much for pointing this out. I really love to hear such stuff. So sorry for my fault.
