I'm Keyvan Nayyeri, a 25 years old Ph.D. student at
the Computer Science department of
the University of Texas at San Antonio.
I'm also
a Software Architect and Developer and previously held a B.Sc.
degree in Applied Mathematics.
This is my blog where I publish content about various topics specifically Programming Languages and Compilers, Software
Engineering and Programming.
Back in July, I wrote about the PowerShell script that Aaron Lerch had designed to export Blogger content to BlogML in order to migrate his blog from Blogger to WordPress.
He has done it again by writing a BlogML to WordPress importer tool with PHP. He gives more details about this tool on his blog which is now powered by WordPress.
This is very nice because we had an export tool from WordPress to BlogML written by Robert McLaws and now there is an import tool available as well. Officially we define a blog engine as BlogML support when it has import and export tools both.
For a long time, we've been requesting BlogML support from WordPress guys (this "we" refers to .NET community members not me and Darren!) but they never responded to us! Now both import and export tools for WordPress are written with .NET developers. I'm sorry to see such a behavior from PHP community!
