Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
[Update: Yesterday I could finish Rainbow Six Vegas. It didn't have a good end!]
I finished Call Of Duty 3 and Gears Of War in first week and was looking for a new game. My first choices were Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. Jayson had written about his experiences with Splinter Cell on PC and low graphic card. I asked him and he told me he could play it on an Xbox 360 and recommended me to buy Rainbow Six Vegas (and it was my primary choice) and I did it.
I don't play as much as first days so you can be sure it's not finished yet!! I just wanted to write my thoughts about this game.
One of important parameters in choosing a game for me is its story. A real story is a big chance for a game to get popular. Six Vegas has a real, excellent and action story and it's one of main reasons to see it at top of Xbox 360 games on Gamespot. You play as lead of three commandos who attack terrorists in several places. In my passed missions except the first missions in Mexico all other missions were in sin city casinos.
But from technical perspective, graphic isn't as great as what you see in Gears Of War but it's excellent. Details are shown for locations but for enemies and your fiends things are a bit different.
Although sound is normal but some songs during the game make it better. But this game could be better if they had used more weapons with their real sounds.
On the other hand gameplay is excellent and game has a great implementation so you feel yourself in the role of a commando. As you see, it's a Modern Tactical Shooter game and I confirm that. It's not a Just-Kill game like Gears Of War or a simple tactical game. I have to choose a real and good tactic to pass missions. For some missions I play several times to choose the best tactic.
AI is excellent but not great. I think some random patterns are used rather than deciding based on what player does.
It's very similar to SWAT (an enhanced version of it). I rate it 9/10. It's one of top tactical shooters for Xbox 360 though.
