Chance is the Point
Following to my regular complains, I wrote that I have a bad fortune and this is damn effective parameter in success, so I said that I’ll write about the chance very soon.
For a long time I’ve been thinking about the reason why I should try hard to achieve something while others can haphazardly achieve it sooner because honestly this is not acceptable for me to see such a manner in a world based on the equanimity! I think this is a matter of ideology to accept an equanimity in the world but it looks like a true fact.
Recently I read an essay about the fortune and its big influence in the success as the primary and integral part that is over 90% of the path to the success, but at the first glance I didn’t agree with the material until last week when I seriously decided to review my past history and examine my weaknesses.
When I went back and forth and saw that how I have failed in some circumstances and how I achieved something with hard work while others have been able to achieve them shortly, it completely changed my mind and I became a big advocate for fortune as the primary parameter in the success.
As was pointed in the essay, you may gain knowledge and scientifically work hard to reach your goals and finally reach or not reach them. In either case, there are other people without good knowledge and skills who cross the path and reach such goals easily.
All the knowledge, effort and time are just some parameters that may help you but are not necessarily parameters that guarantee your success but a good fortune can dare them all and put you at the point that you desire to be! It’s so important to make a decision or do something on a specific time and at the right place and in a specific way, but without a good fortunate you may need to experience many cases without any success! On the other hand, someone with a good fortune can come and do the right thing on the right time and at the right place without putting much effort into that!
For example, move backward in the history of the software business and compare the success of Microsoft and Apple. Generally both companies have been hugely success but doubtlessly Microsoft has had better results. The difference between Bill Gates and Steve Jobs is nothing but a good fortune because Bill did something right when he had to do and Steve didn’t do that, so in the long run Bill gained much more while Steve was the second! I doubt Bill Gates was more skillful to be here but he is, and the reason is concealed in the fortune! Many people may do something in the history but one of them can gain such a huge success, someone who has done that on its time!
All in all, in my honest opinion chance is the inherent part of success and even thought without chance success is not impossible, but it’s arduous to achieve! Chance, itself, is defined in various ways by different religions and cultures, some cultures consider it as a gift by God to someone, and others consider it as a random factor. Regardless of the definition and nature, chance is an important requirement in the success and has been eluding me for a long while!
