Earlier today Hamid wrote about a new product that they have released recently on Axosoft that is called PureChat and is simply a powerful ASP.NET AJAX web chat for .NET sites that can be integrated with any existing ASP.NET site.
Hamid has written about the short story behind PureChat as an example of a success software business scenario where a company lets its employee to work freely on his side-project.
PureChat is an excellent web chat application. It's both easy to use and install and also easy to customize. PureChat lets operators (site owners) and site visitors to chat together.
Another positive point about PureChat is its free license for single operator sites and cheap prices for multiple operators.
Jonas Bush is the developer who has developed PureChat in less than 60 days and has used ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX and ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit to build it. Jonas has explained the development process for this product on his blog.
More than the product itself, the success of this side-project is a good example of the fantastic results that a manager can get from his employees when he or she lets them work on their interests and encourages them to do this.
