New Theme - Elite Circle

I decided to apply all major changes as soon as possible to avoid more confusion and down time.  The last planned major change for my site was a new theme.  After disabling my file and photo galleries I needed a new theme for my blog.  On the other hand I was looking for a simple and clean theme and finding an appropriate free template wasn't easy.  However, after checking more than 200-300 free templates I found it: Elite Circle was a free blog template provided by Styleshout under Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license.  I inspired some ideas (around structure and layout) from new templates that Scott and Phil had added to their blogs.  Importing this new template was easier than Mollio and I did it in less than 2 hours (regarding that I had to add some new CSS codes to original template for Community Server needs).

Now it's up and running on my site (if you're reading this in a feed reader navigate to my site and check it out).  All visitors can use Community Server 2007 new feature to subscribe to my posts via email.  This template still needs some teaks but I can call it a stable template for now.

On the other hand I updated my site license to Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license which was released in February.

I also disabled new user registration on my site because I want to make it a single user site.  I was going to delete all users and assign their posts to Anonymous user but there was an error and I couldn't do that.  I'll delete all users as soon as I can solve this issue.

In the end I'm happy with all these changes.  I think my site looks simpler now and this is what I wanted to reach after these changes.  I'll make other changes smoothly.

Now I can return to regular blogging after two months!

Agree with Dan, it looks great! :-) I found some functional problems with your blog, don't know if they're theme related though. * Clicking on a tag in the tag cloud gives me a page not found error (i.e. CS Dev Guide) * Doing a search for example "ForumPost", redirects me to the home page of the blog. Just thought you'd might like to know. :-)

J-O, Thanks for noticing them. First problem was a result of an ISAPI filter that I've installed on my site. I updated my rules to solve the issue and it's working now. But I couldn't reproduce the second problem. I put a keyword in search box and click on button and it redirects me to search results.

Well, I could reproduce that. It only happens when I search for something from homepage but when I search from an individual page, archive or tags list it works fine. I'm looking at it to see what's the reason.

Humm, I see. But here something strange happens. The generated HTML code for my navigation is similar to what is provided in original HTML file but they have two different results. Except "Home" link (which is static link) all other navigation links are generated dynamically on server with Chameleon controls. However, I can't find any reason for this problem to solve it since everything is similar to original codes and valid. Thanks for mentioning this :-)
