Professional Community Server - Available Everywhere
As Jose has written, book is now available on Amazon and can ship from there to readers. It means that book is ready to be read by you although its official publication date is supposed to be 19th March 2007.
Thankfully book has an excellent sales rank on Amazon which shows its popularity for community members in comparison with similar books and other Wrox books. Jose has done a nice job on updating book site to show author biographies, feedbacks, some information about book and also a gallery to upload your photos with book (or only your photos of book). So we invite all readers to take their photos with book (or their book alone) and send it to us to publish it on site.
Over the last week we got initial feedbacks from community. Scott Watermasysk, Jim Minatel, and Chris Webb wrote some blog posts about this book and introduced it. Homepage of Community Server official website now contains links to this book. Default content for homepage in Community Server 2007 Beta 2 (which isn't released yet but my site is running on it) contains links to this book as well.
Like other authors I haven't received my copies (probably will receive them some weeks after publication date) but I hope that you enjoy reading it and it can give you good information about Community Server development. We'll be glad to read your feedbacks and reviews about this book on Amazon, your blogs and other communities (you know that this book was the first book that we wrote!). As this book is the first book about Community Server development, your feedbacks can help other authors to write better books in future.
Now that book is ready and you're reading it, I'd like to give out my credits to Wyatt for letting me to collaborate on this book and editing my chapters and improving them (I'm sure my chapters were nothing if he and other editors didn't spend their time to edit them), to Chris Webb and Wrox for letting me to join the authors and to Rob Howard and Telligent for helping me to join the team and editing and proof reading this book.
Writing this book at 22 in collaboration with these great guys from Telligent was a pleasure for me and I could get excellent experiments from this writing. Probably I'm the youngest Wrox author and Wyatt is the second guy so we had a very young team.
