500th Post
Just to keep its record: this is the 500th post on my blog! A few days ago Scott Allen reached to same record after 37 months of blogging. But I reach after 19 months and 585 days (0.85 post per day ratio).
I can't write a long story about the past but everything is different from the first day when I started Nayyeri.NET.
Here I'd like to confess that I never had a blog that could be alive longer than 9-10 months. You may know that Nayyeri.NET was my first serious experience in English language on web. Before that all my experiences in blogging were limited to 4-5 blogs that I had in Persian during 3-3.5 years and two English photoblogs. For myself it's interesting to see the past and compare it with present. My imagination of future was completely different from what I see. But one of my main goals was to have a real international blog. I see many Persian bloggers who write in English but most of their visitors are Persian so what's the difference between Persian and English? From the first day I tried to change this and now my Persian visitors are a small group of my visitors.
From language perspective, blogging in a different language was a really good experience. I don't think it changed many things in my English skills but I improved my language besides this site and my community activities to communicate easier.
On the other side I got many job offers via this blog which is another advantage of having a blog although I didn't apply for more than 3-4 offers.
In general, feedbacks tell me everything about this blog and I'm happy for the result. Like other things in my life, finishing the university changed my blogging. You saw that I could spend more time to write better posts in recent months.
However, if I keep this ratio then I should reach to 1000 at the end of my service. Very nice!
