It looks like that the latest days of the year allures more people to launch new sites. After Sueetie launched by Dave Burke, now it’s Hamid Shojaee’s turn to launch another great site called About Scrum which specializes in the area of project management and Scrum.
Most likely you know Hamid and his company, Axosoft, with their OnTime product that targets some main areas including software project management. It’s been quite a long while that Hamid and his team have been working on this product, and they have achieved great knowledge and experiences in this area.
Recently Hamid and his team started sharing their knowledge and experiences about Scrum online, and they recorded a high demand video called Scrum in 10 Minutes in which they give a great description of Scrum and project management. Hamid has published a separate post describing their experiences with this video.
Continuing their works around Scrum, today they launched About Scrum as a centralized resource that they will update with valuable information. Interestingly, site is powered by Graffiti CMS, and contains articles, videos, and useful links about Agile, Scrum and other project management stuff.
It’s really great to see that Hamid and his friends are doing such a great job in providing helpful products, publishing excellent content, and supporting the community simultaneously, and they have been very successful in all these areas. They have released several versions of OnTime (along some other products), and recently they dropped the Beta and RC versions of OnTime 2009. Besides, they have been publishing their own content as blog posts and videos, and today they added something new to the set. Additionally, they have been actively supporting the .NET communities and sites in order to help them keep their progress.
I’m pretty sure that About Scrum is going to be an excellent host for those who are looking for information about project management and Scrum.
As the final note, I just want to point out that Scrum is not an acronym and there shouldn’t be any reason to write it with capitalized letters like SCRUM. This is a very common mistake among software managers and developers who may be following this convention in an article by Ken Schwaber (read the Wikipedia article).

I’d expect this week to be a busy week for software companies announcing their products at the beginning of 2009 specifically today and tomorrow. One of the first companies that announced the final version of its main product is Axosoft that released
